In Defense of the poor image by Hito Steyerl

The images used above are of Hitler.  Left 1923 and right from World war one. Both the images are low resolution and are un-clear. However, as stated in the article, their is no origin of the images and we are unaware of who took the photographs.

These images have been downloaded several times and their quality decreases with each download or share. But one can’t deny the fact that this image is very real and gives us a view into the life of one of the most cruel dictators in our history. These two poor images are about reality. Even though the faces are blurred and they do not show the world of that time in colour, editing of these images will take the real aspect of these pictures away from them.
